Education and Diversity: students with disabilities

objectives

– Expand understanding of everyday school life ;
-Reflect on issues related to school and social inclusion of people with disabilities;
-to know how they are built and what are the factors inserted in the different contexts of inclusive education;
-generate proposals that allow effective interventions in the school space;
-to know and analyze the public policies of inclusive education.

Theoretical foundations

The studies will have as main theoretical source the theories of sociology and psychology of education, especially those that allow us to understand the school inclusion of students with disabilities in the context of social relationships.

Methodology

Research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches, with emphasis on the use of interviews, discussion group, questionnaires, participant observation, life's history, with treatment through content analysis (Bardin).

Suggestions of themes related to the project that can be developed

– Policies and practices of inclusion in basic education: school organization; Curricular adaptations and specialized educational assistance;
– Schooling and disability: studies on training and school trajectories of students and teachers with disabilities;
– Training and practices of teachers and professionals for inclusive education;
-school inclusion: school-family relationship.
