Social commitment to transforming reality, Facing the challenges of teaching in the 21st century is the assumption that guides an ongoing project supported by CNPq, fruit of a partnership between two Brazilian research groups: Education Group: professional development, diversities and methodologies of the University of Taubaté and the Teaching Activity and Subjectivity Group of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. With the aim of understanding and transforming the educational reality, the project titled “Research-trans-training and the Subjective Dimension category as theoretical-methodological resources for understanding and transforming educational reality”, will be presented at the XIII International Seminar on Rede Estrado, which will take place at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Buenos Aires by teachers of the Professional Master's Degree in Teacher Education. Dr. Luciana de Oliveira Rocha Magalhães, prof. Dr. Virginia Mara Prospero da Cunha, Prof. Dr. Cristovam da Silva Alves and CNPq scholarship holders Fernanda Marcon, egressa do MPE e Sarah Daher, Pedagogy student at UNITAU.
Two other studies will also be presented at the XIII International Seminar on the Estrado Network: o “The use of active methods in the pedagogical practice of teachers who teach Physics in High School”, associated with the Pedagogical Practices in Mathematics Study Group (PPMat), of the Professional Master's in Education (MPE) from the University of Taubaté, by Profa. Dr. Katia Celina da Silva Richetto, Prof. Dr. Willian José Ferreira and Professor. Dr. Maria Teresa Teresa de Moura Ribeiro and work “Student dropout in the context of training science teachers in distance learning”, written by MPE teachers, prof. Dr. Katia Celina da Silva Richetto, to Prof. Dr. Willian da Silva Ferreira and Profa. Márcia Regina de Oliveira on issues involving the low attractiveness of the teaching career and the high dropout rate of students in undergraduate courses, what makes the EaD scenario complex and challenging. It is understood that to reduce evasion in exact science degrees in EaD, it is essential to invest in educational methodologies that welcome and help students.
Upon returning from the event, teachers and scholarship holders will promote a live broadcast on the day 3 October, as 19h, online, to dialogue with MPE students and other interested parties about the perspectives of the work presented with a focus on the possibilities of international partnerships and research trends focused on teacher training in Latin America.
