
In day 15 from May of 2024, the pedagogical practical line for equity, Turma and-2, Accompanied by teachers Cleusa Vieira da Costa and Katia Richetto, went to the meeting of Professor Rachel Potan, from Stanford University, creator of the methodology of the, renowned education specialist, for a significant event that took place at the Institute of Advanced Studies-IEA-USP.
Potan led the meeting with graduates of his program from other institutions and with the first professional master's program, Provided by Unitau, to implement the pedestrian methodology (Teacher Specialization Program). This program aims at the formation of mathematics teachers for basic education, Focusing on student learning, through pedagogical practices that aim to build skills for a better mathematical understanding meeting students with equity, promoting social justice and appreciation of teachers. The methodology ped, developed and enhanced by Potan, stands out for promoting pedagogical practices that promote the equity and learning of all students, adapting to various sociocultural realities.
During the event, Potan shared his experiences and perceptions about the importance of an inclusive and equitable educational approach, emphasizing the need to adapt pedagogical practices to meet the various needs of students. She praised UNITAU for the pioneering initiative and highlighted the transformative potential of the pedi methodology in the Brazilian educational context.
The partnership of the Canoa and Unitau Institute was essential for the implementation of the line 3 of the Professional Master in Education, University of Taubaté with the Methodology Ped. The Canoa Institute is known for promoting the continuous formation of educators and the development of innovative pedagogical practices focused on equity and diversity. This collaboration aims to strengthen the ability of Brazilian educators to promote an inclusive and diversified learning environment.
