To celebrate the first decade of existence, the Professional Master's Degree in Education (MPE) from the University of Taubaté (UNITAU) will open the school year with a special inaugural class. During the meeting, the postgraduate program coordinators will address the history and impact of the MPE on society.
The Professional Master's Degree in Education, from the first class, created in 2014, proposes research and analysis of teacher training, reflecting, also, about public policies that influence Education, the cognitive and learning processes that underlie it, in addition to methodological alternatives, pedagogical and technological resources that support it. This way, contributes, directly, with the evolution of the educational process in the Metropolitan Region of Vale do Paraíba and North Coast (RMVALE-LN).
The general coordinator of the MPE, prof. Dr. Juliana Marcondes Bussolotti, highlights the impact generated by the postgraduate program in recent 10 years. “In all, more than 200 dissertations dealing with: teacher training, the inclusion, the insertion of pedagogical practices in Basic Education, among other topics. The research produced was carried out in the municipalities of Vale do Paraíba and, also, in the south of Rio de Janeiro. According to our projections, adding researchers and school communities analyzed, the MPE contributed more than 200 thousand Brazilian citizens”, says the coordinator.
The commemorative meeting is aimed at master's students and graduates of the MPE, in addition to those interested in the topic covered. The meeting will be held this Saturday (9), from 8am, in the UNITAU Auditorium, located on Rua Expedicionario Ernesto Pereira, gate 1, Center, in Taubaté. The Professional Master's Degree in Education at the University of Taubaté aims to train teachers committed to adapting their teachings to different sociocultural realities, favoring the inclusion and effective learning of all students.
According to the coordinator of the Master's program, in 10 years of existence, the MPE formed more than 200 masters and more 90% of them are teachers and remain in education.
“When we reflect deeply on Education, We change our practice and become more critical and proactive about our reality,” highlights the coordinator.
