Sabrina da Silva, class student 2026 of the Professional Master's in Education (MPE) from UNITAU, was recognized as Educator of the Year 2026 in Taubaté. The award celebrates the work of professionals who make a difference in education in the municipality.
The recognition came from the project “Pequenos Sentimentos, Great Discoveries: Paths to self-regulation in Early Childhood Education”, the last one that Sabrina developed with the children before taking on the pedagogical coordination. The work, carried out inside the classroom, shows how caring for emotions in early childhood opens paths for development and learning.
In a statement published after the ceremony, Sabrina highlighted the value of experience and the dimension of teaching work. For her, education is much bigger than we can see, and educators are also. She also recalled that many projects that transform children's lives take place daily within schools and do not always go beyond their walls.
