“The Development Perspectives Magazine: a multidimensional approach, biannual publication by the student body of the Graduate Program in Development, Society and International Cooperation of the Center for Advanced Multidisciplinary Studies at the University of Brasília (PPGDSCI / CEAM / UnB), invites the academic community, managers, social movements and other thinkers working on the themes of development and international cooperation to submit unprecedented contributions, individually or in co-authorship, for its third edition.
The third edition of the Journal will accept articles, reviews, interviews, memoirs (speeches, depositions, documents and sources), as well as photo essays on the following themes:
International cooperation – that critically portray mechanisms, technical cooperation tools and approaches, bilateral political and financial, trilateral e multilateral, including humanitarian assistance. South-South cooperation deserves to be highlighted.
Development: that identify theoretical models that propose to analyze development from a multidimensional perspective, incorporating beyond the economic aspect, the humanist bias, social, environmental and international level of this complex process. Preference will be given to works that consider dimensions in an integrated way, recognizing the limits to the unifocal perception of development. Issues such as measurement and local development strategies will also be addressed in the magazine.
Human rights: that seek to identify issues relevant to different realities, with the constant concern to explore new frontiers of the human rights debate, as well as international mechanisms to promote the protection and accountability of human rights practices, in addition to the dissemination and dissemination of information on human rights violations as a way of combating them.
Public policy: that contemplate the different stages of the public policy cycle, as agenda setting; elaboration; formulation; Implementation; execution; monitoring and evaluation, as well as identify interfaces between theoretical models and observed public policies. Papers dealing with contemporary issues of political science will also be accepted., like comparative studies, policy diffusion, institutional arrangements and importance of actors and interest groups in the definition of public policies.
Society and Culture: that investigate the relationships between individuals and communities, their representations, symbolic and artistic expressions, the imaginary, cultural knowledge and techniques, identities and memories, carried out in different spaces and periods of time. Works that analyze culture and its connections with other areas, such as education and power relations in society.
Contributions must be sent, until the day 30 of september 2014, in a single document, to the journal's email address(http://seer.bce.unb.br/index.php/perspectivasdodesenvolvimento), following the guidelines for authors.
We inform that all texts must be unpublished in Brazilian publications and that accepted articles will not necessarily be published in the third edition.
The Journal is a semi-annual, non-profit electronic publication.. Its Editorial Board is made up of researchers with experience in the field of development, society and international cooperation.”
