III International Symposium on Teacher Training with and in Arts/Cultures

The III Symposium on Training with and in Arts/Cultures continues the first (December 2022), and to the second (September 2023), focusing on the research that ends at this time, carried out by teachers who work in the art discipline in the Pedagogy courses of 22 Brazilian universities and two Latin American universities in Uruguay and Colombia, with an innovative methodological perspective from artistic propositions.

In this III Symposium, in addition to the research results presentations, we will carry out artistic/cultural propositions and the closure of international research with the shared final analyzes, In addition to the launch of the network + Art in Pedagogy.

The opening of the Symposium to other groups of teachers active or not in pedagogy courses expands horizons and necessary discussions about the university teaching of art in their different languages.

Its objectives:

• Reflect on teacher education and the need to expand the presence of art and culture as a power for an educational process more consistent with contemporary perspectives and challenges;
• Promote the meeting of researchers involved in research ongoing, sharing the results of the propositions carried out in the participating educational institutions;
• Advertise to the academic community and the public interested in its methodology and the results obtained in the research;
• Discuss future referrals to expand research.

Event open to all stakeholders with special focus on teachers who work with art in teacher education. (Part of the event will be restricted to the research group).
