<p>In this episode, Professor Anderson de Moraes Fonseca shares the trajectory and results of his research “Collaborative Games in Mathematics Education: equitable practices as a resource for inclusion and engagement in high school”. The conversation highlights the potential of cooperative games as training tools that promote active participation, critical thinking and emotional bonds between students. Inspired by the Complex Instruction approach and the principles of Education for Equity, the study reveals how play can become a powerful strategy for transforming teaching practice and collective construction of mathematical knowledge, sobretudo em contextos escolares desafiadores.</p>

<p>In this episode, professor Maiara Morgado reflects on her research “Engagement and equity in Financial Education: collaborative methodologies in high school integrated with Técnico”. The dialogue covers the pedagogical practices developed in a state technical school, highlighting how Collaborative Learning, anchored in role rotation and listening between peers, increases engagement and strengthens student protagonism. Experience shows that Financial Education can go far beyond calculations: it becomes a field of ethical development, argumentative and empathetic, capable of integrating technical knowledge, matemáticos e humanos.</p>

The conversation explores the role of Number Conversations (Number Talks) as dialogical practices that favor meaningful learning and mathematical argumentation in contexts of social vulnerability. Inspired by Critical Mathematics Education and Education for Equity, Thaís discusses how sensitive listening and working in heterogeneous groups contribute to reconfiguring the classroom space as an environment of belonging, autoria e pensamento coletivo.</p>

<p>In this episode, Professor Leandro Lessa talks about his research “Classroom layout as a resource for equity in Mathematics Education in Elementary School”. The episode looks at how the intentional rearrangement of physical space — desks into islands, cooperation zones and defined roles — can boost engagement, collaboration and equitable learning. From observation of classes on equivalent fractions, Leandro demonstrates that the layout of the environment and care with interactions are inseparable dimensions of educational justice. The dialogue invites the listener to rethink the classroom as a living pedagogical space, capaz de promover inclusão e autonomia.</p>

<p>In this episode, professor Thaís Ferreira da Costa presents her research “Numerical Conversations and Financial Education: mathematical reasoning, group work and engagement in high school”. The conversation explores the role of Number Conversations (Number Talks) as dialogical practices that favor meaningful learning and mathematical argumentation in contexts of social vulnerability. Inspired by Critical Mathematics Education and Education for Equity, Thaís discusses how sensitive listening and working in heterogeneous groups contribute to reconfiguring the classroom space as an environment of belonging, authorship and collective thinking. </p>

<p>In this episode, Professor Leandro Lessa talks about his research “Classroom layout as a resource for equity in Mathematics Education in Elementary School”. The episode looks at how the intentional rearrangement of physical space — desks into islands, cooperation zones and defined roles — can boost engagement, collaboration and equitable learning. From observation of classes on equivalent fractions, Leandro demonstrates that the layout of the environment and care with interactions are inseparable dimensions of educational justice. The dialogue invites the listener to rethink the classroom as a living pedagogical space, capable of promoting inclusion and autonomy. </p>
